The Build

This gray Tacoma TRD 4x4 came into Underdog Motorsports in Mesa, AZ riding on a Rough Country leveling kit. We pulled it off and stepped the front end up to ICON coilovers with 2.0 aluminum-series remote reservoirs - a true performance shock with adjustable ride height and far better damping and heat management than a basic level.

To make the new setup work right, we paired the coilovers with Freedom Off-Road upper control arms to correct the geometry and add clearance. The result is a smoother, more controlled ride on the street and real capability when the pavement ends.
