GX 460 Lift Kits and Suspension

The GX 460 shares its platform family with the 4Runner, so the same proven suspension brands cover it. The difference is KDSS, Toyota's hydraulic sway bar system, which most GX 460s have. Lift one without accounting for KDSS and the truck can sit crooked.

What we install:

• Bilstein 5100 and 6112 for a daily driver that needs to stay comfortable
• ICON, FOX, and Old Man Emu for overland builds carrying real weight
• Upper control arms when the lift height calls for them, so the alignment comes back to spec

We don't install spacer lifts. A spacer gets you height and nothing else, and it speeds up wear on ball joints and CV axles.

See how it comes together: a 2017 GX 460 on Bilstein 6112s with ICON wheels, a GX 460 overland build, a GX 460 on LFD armor, and a 2023 GX 460 build. More on the GX builds page.

GX 470 Lift Kits and Suspension

Most GX 470s came with rear air springs. Lifting one usually means converting the rear to coil springs. That gets you the height and takes aging air bags out of the picture. Up front it's a coilover, same approach as the GX 460.

GX 550 Lift Kits and Suspension

The GX 550 is a new platform. Parts from the older GX don't fit, and the options are still growing. Call us before you buy so you get parts made for it.

LX 470, LX 570 & LX 600

LX trucks are heavier and come with their own factory suspension systems. The right parts depend on the year and how the truck is equipped. Call 480-269-2833 and we'll spec it with you.

Wheels, Tires, Lighting and Armor

Suspension first, then wheels and tires. Wheel offset decides whether a tire clears or rubs, so we match the wheel and tire to the lift. Method Race Wheels and Toyo tires are our go-to. Baja Designs for lighting. Sliders, skid plates, and bumpers built for your Lexus, not universal-fit.

Lexus Lift Kit Questions

Can you lift a GX 460 with KDSS?

Yes. The lift has to be set up around KDSS so the truck sits level. We account for it on every GX 460 we build.

What about the rear air suspension on a GX 470?

Most GX 470s came with rear air springs. A lift usually means converting the rear to coil springs.

What size tires fit a lifted GX 460?

Most GX 460s on a 2 to 3 inch lift run a 33-inch tire. Wheel offset decides whether it rubs, and some setups need trimming. Tell us your year and wheel and we'll tell you what fits before you buy anything.

Do you install spacer lifts?

No. A spacer adds height without adding travel or control, and it speeds up wear on ball joints and CV axles. We lift these trucks with ride-height-adjustable shocks or coilovers so the geometry stays right.

Will a lift kit void my Lexus warranty?

Not the whole warranty. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer has to show the aftermarket part caused the failure before denying a claim. Our warranty guide covers the details.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. 0% for up to 6 months on approved credit through Synchrony, plus an all-credit option through American First Finance. Both cover parts and install.
