Ford F-150 Raptor Lift Kit Installation in Chandler, AZ
Ford F-150 Raptor Lift Kit Installation in Chandler, AZ
Your Raptor left the factory as a long-travel desert truck, so the smart Chandler build isn't a lift at all — it's fine-tuning what Ford already gave you. We're a quick run up Gilbert Road or the Loop 202 Santan from anywhere in Chandler, and we help owners get the most out of that FOX Live Valve suspension before, and long after, the next Box Canyon or Beeline weekend.
Underdog Motorsports has spent 38+ years building trucks for Arizona dirt, and we approach the Gen3 Raptor and Raptor R the way Ford's own engineers did: protect the geometry, feed it the right tires and gearing, and keep those internal-bypass dampers serviced so they perform in year five like they did on day one.

F-150 Raptor Builds for How Chandler Drives
Chandler Raptors live a double life. Monday through Friday they're commuting to the Price Corridor and the tech campuses off the 202, and that daily duty is exactly why we steer Chandler owners away from the lift-and-level thinking that fits a standard F-150. Your Raptor already rides on a 5-link coil rear with a Panhard bar and long-travel coilovers up front — stacking spacers or taller springs on top of a suspension that's already engineered for a foot of travel just fights the FOX Live Valve 3.1 internal-bypass dampers that make the truck ride the way it does. The better money goes into tires, gearing, armor and keeping those dampers healthy.
Then the weekend hits and that same truck is pointed east — out past Box Canyon or up the Beeline toward the open desert where a Raptor actually gets to stretch its legs. That's where the real upgrades pay off: if you're not already on the 37 Performance Package, stepping up to 37s transforms the truck, but it needs a re-gear to wake the throttle back up and keep the 10-speed happy, especially on a Raptor R hauling the extra nose weight of that supercharged 5.2L V8. Add a FOX rebuild and re-valve service once the miles pile up, bash protection for the rocks, and lighting for the drive home in the dark, and you've got a Raptor that's better everywhere — and every job leaves with a fresh alignment so your Price Corridor commute tracks straight.
What We Install on Chandler F-150 Raptors
Suspension & FOX Service
We keep your factory FOX Live Valve long-travel setup doing its job — rebuilds, re-valves and seal service on the Gen3 3.1 internal-bypass dampers — and dial it in rather than lifting over it. No spacer lifts, ever.
Wheels & Tires
Stepping into 37s (or running the 37 Performance Package fitment) on a wheel with the right offset so the tire clears and the FOX travel stays free — the single biggest change you can make to a Raptor.
Armor & Bumpers
Skid plates, rock sliders and front/rear bumpers that protect the long-travel geometry and the Raptor R's pricey driveline without killing approach and departure angles.
Lighting
Ditch lights, bumper-mounted pods and chase/rear lighting wired clean — so the run back toward Chandler after dark on the Beeline is as safe as the daylight miles out.
Re-Gearing & Tuning
Axle re-gears to restore acceleration and towing feel after bigger tires, plus tuning to sharpen the EcoBoost or supercharged V8 — so the Raptor doesn't feel sluggish on the 202.
Alignment
Every build leaves with a full alignment included. Factory geometry stays factory — we don't touch what Ford got right — so tire wear and daily-driver manners stay honest.
Chandler F-150 Raptor FAQ
Does my Raptor even need a lift?
Almost never. The Gen3 Raptor and Raptor R already ride on long-travel FOX Live Valve dampers and a 5-link coil rear — it's a factory desert truck. For Chandler owners the gains come from 37s, gearing, armor, lighting and damper service, not from lifting over suspension that's already dialed.
Can you fit 37s if I don't have the 37 package?
Yes. We regularly move Raptors up to 37s on the correct wheel and offset so the tire clears and the long-travel FOX setup keeps its full stroke, then re-gear so the truck drives like it should.
Should I re-gear after bigger tires?
On a Raptor, yes — especially a Raptor R carrying the heavier supercharged 5.2L V8. Taller tires dull acceleration and make the 10-speed hunt; a proper re-gear restores the throttle response and keeps towing honest.
Do you service the factory FOX Live Valve shocks?
We do. As a FOX-authorized installer we rebuild and re-valve the Gen3 3.1 internal-bypass dampers so a high-mileage Raptor rides like a fresh one — a smarter spend than swapping to something that performs worse off-road.
How is this different from a standard F-150 build?
Completely. A regular F-150 has a leaf-sprung rear and usually wants a leveling kit — that's a different page and a different job. The Raptor's coil rear and long-travel FOX suspension mean we tune and protect rather than lift.
How far is the shop from Chandler?
About 15–25 minutes. We're at 1845 S Power Rd in Mesa, near Power & Baseline — an easy run up Gilbert Road or over on the Loop 202 Santan from anywhere in Chandler.
