Ram 2500 & 3500 Lift Kit Installation in Apache Junction, AZ

Apache Junction is where the pavement runs out and the fun starts. Out at the foot of the Superstitions, a diesel Ram isn't a lifestyle accessory — it's the truck that hauls the toy hauler up SR-88, drops into Bulldog Canyon, and still tows the trailer to work on Monday. Underdog Motorsports is a straight shot west on the US-60, roughly 15–20 minutes from downtown AJ, and we build 2500s and 3500s the way this town actually uses them.

Cummins nose weight, radius-arm front ends, and real Tonto National Forest miles all change how a heavy Ram should be lifted. We spec it right the first time — and every install leaves with an alignment.

Ram 2500 & 3500 Builds for How Apache Junction Drives

AJ is the gateway to the Superstitions and Tonto National Forest — the most hardcore off-road town in the East Valley. When your weekend runs are Bulldog Canyon, the Woodbury and Hackberry trails, or the rocky washboard of the Apache Trail toward Canyon Lake, your Ram takes a beating that a mall-crawler never sees. That's exactly the truck we like building. A heavy-duty Ram rides on a coil-sprung front end with radius arms and a coil-sprung rear (not leaf like the F-250s and Silverados), which is fantastic for ride quality but sensitive to how you lift it — get it wrong and you'll fight bump steer, a cocked axle, and worn track-bar bushings after one summer of desert miles.

The single biggest factor on a 2500/3500 is the Cummins hanging out over the front axle. That diesel nose weight means a gas-spec leveling coil will sag and sit wrong within months. We fit diesel-rate front coils — Carli, Old Man Emu or King depending on how you use the truck — so the front sits level and stays there whether the bed's empty or you're loaded for a Tonto camp trip. Push past a simple level and we add the parts a Ram actually needs: radius-arm drop brackets and an adjustable track bar to re-center the axle, plus tow/haul-friendly valving so the truck still pulls a fifth-wheel down the 60 without wallowing. Daily-driver leveling on 35s or a taller travel build for real trail work — either way it's dialed for AJ's mix of highway towing and rough desert.

What We Install on Your Ram HD

Suspension & Lift

Diesel-rate front coils, radius-arm geometry correction, adjustable track bars and rear coils from Carli, OME and King — leveling to full travel lifts tuned for Cummins nose weight.

Wheels & Tires

Load-rated wheels and E-rated tires sized for towing and 35s+ — enough footprint for Bulldog Canyon sand without killing your ride or payload on the US-60.

Armor & Bumpers

Heavy front and rear bumpers, skid plates and sliders that shrug off Woodbury and Hackberry rock — built to carry the weight a 3500 puts on them.

Lighting

Ditch lights, light bars and amber pods for the pre-dawn runs up the Apache Trail and the dusty drive back out of Tonto after dark.

Overland Setups

Bed racks, drawers, air and recovery gear for the AJ crowd that camps deep in the Superstitions — set up to keep payload and towing honest.

Alignment

Every HD Ram leaves with a full alignment and track-bar centering. On a radius-arm front end it's not optional — it's what makes the lift drive straight and last.

Ram 2500 & 3500 Lift FAQ — Apache Junction

How far is your shop from Apache Junction?

We're at 1845 S Power Rd in Mesa, near Power & Baseline — about 15–20 minutes west of Apache Junction straight down the US-60. Easy in, easy out, and worth the short drive for a build done right.

Why can't I just run a gas leveling kit on my Cummins?

The diesel engine adds serious weight over the front axle. A standard gas-rate coil will compress and sag, leaving the nose low within months. We use diesel-rate front coils so your 2500/3500 sits level and stays there, loaded or empty.

Do I need drop brackets and a track bar?

On a leveling height, usually not. Once you go taller, the radius-arm front end changes caster and the axle shifts sideways — so we add radius-arm drop brackets and an adjustable track bar to re-center the axle and keep the steering honest.

Will a lift hurt my towing?

Not when it's done right. We pick tow/haul-friendly valving and E-rated tires so your Ram still pulls a fifth-wheel or toy hauler down the 60 without wallowing, and we keep gearing and payload in mind for heavy loads.

Can it handle Bulldog Canyon and the Apache Trail?

Absolutely — that's home turf for these builds. We spec travel, tire and armor for the rock and washboard of Bulldog Canyon, Woodbury, Hackberry and SR-88, while keeping it civil for the daily commute.

Do you offer spacer lifts?

Never. No spacer lifts, ever — on a heavy diesel especially, they compromise geometry and ride. We install real coils and shocks from Carli, OME and King, and every job includes an alignment.
