Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro & Trailhunter Lift Kit Installation in Chandler, AZ
Chandler runs on daily-drivers — tech-commuter rigs that still have to disappear into the desert on the weekend. Your TRD Pro or Trailhunter is up Gilbert Road and across the 202 to our Mesa shop in about 15 to 25 minutes, and it leaves set up to handle the commute Monday and Box Canyon or the Beeline on Saturday. We dial in these factory-shocked off-road 4Runners without undoing what Toyota got right from the factory.

4Runner TRD Pro & Trailhunter Builds for How Chandler Drives
The 6th-gen 4Runner arrived in 2025 with the i-FORCE MAX hybrid, and that battery and motor add real weight to a truck that already carries a week's worth of gear. On the TRD Pro you get factory FOX QS3 adjustable dampers up front over an IFS coilover setup, plus a solid rear axle on a multi-link coil — genuinely good shocks that most Chandler owners don't need to throw away, they need dialed in for how the truck actually sits loaded. On the Trailhunter it's Old Man Emu position-sensitive suspension straight from the factory, and because OME is one of the lines we're an authorized installer for, we can service it, re-tune it, or step it up right here instead of sending you somewhere else.
For a Chandler daily that commutes up the 202 all week and then points at Box Canyon or the Beeline toward Sycamore Creek on the weekend, the smart move is usually tires and geometry rather than a tall lift. We'll fit 34s or 35s, re-gear so the hybrid drivetrain isn't fighting the bigger tires out on the freeway, add upper control arms if we're lifting the IFS front at all, and finish every job with an alignment so it tracks straight on the morning commute. No spacer lifts, ever — on a rig this well-sorted from the factory, a cheap spacer is the quickest way to undo what you paid Toyota for.
What We Install on Your TRD Pro & Trailhunter
Suspension & Lift
FOX QS3 service and tuning on the TRD Pro, OME service and step-ups on the Trailhunter, or a measured IFS front lift with UCAs when you want more. Authorized ICON, FOX, Bilstein, OME & King.
Wheels & Tires
34s and 35s mounted and balanced on the right offset so they clear without rubbing, matched to how the 6th-gen sits with the hybrid weight up front.
Armor & Bumpers
Rock sliders, skid plates and bumpers to protect the hybrid components and the belly on Box Canyon's rock shelves and the Beeline trails.
Lighting
Ditch lights, light bars and pods wired clean — building on the Rigid gear the Trailhunter already ships with.
Overland Setups
Roof racks, bed and cargo drawers, fridge-slide storage and dual-battery setups for weekend trips out the Beeline.
Alignment
Included on every install and set for the extra tire and ride height, so your Chandler commute stays straight and your tires wear evenly.
4Runner TRD Pro & Trailhunter FAQ — Chandler
How far is your shop from Chandler?
We're at 1845 S Power Rd in Mesa, near Power & Baseline — about 15 to 25 minutes from most of Chandler up Gilbert Road or across the 202, depending on where you start.
Do I need to replace the factory FOX or OME suspension?
Usually not. The TRD Pro's FOX QS3 and the Trailhunter's OME are good hardware. We service and tune what you already have for your loaded weight first, and only step up when you actually want more travel or lift.
What size tires fit a 6th-gen 4Runner TRD Pro or Trailhunter?
Most owners run 34s or 35s. We fit them on the right wheel offset and sort any clearance so they don't rub, then re-gear so the hybrid drivetrain and freeway rpm stay happy.
Should I re-gear when I go to bigger tires?
On the i-FORCE MAX hybrid, yes. Bigger tires change your effective gearing and hurt both response and mileage on the 202. Re-gearing brings it back and keeps the drivetrain from working too hard.
Can you work on a Trailhunter's Old Man Emu suspension?
Yes. OME is one of the lines we're an authorized installer for, so we can service, re-tune or step up the Trailhunter's factory OME setup in-house.
Do you include an alignment?
Every install includes a full alignment, set for your new tire size and ride height. And we never run spacer lifts — not on a 4Runner this well-built from the factory.
