Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro & Trailhunter Lift Kit Installation in Queen Creek, AZ
Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro & Trailhunter Lift Kit Installation in Queen Creek, AZ
Queen Creek runs on trucks and SUVs that earn their keep — horse properties off Hunt Highway, work rigs on the new builds out past Ellsworth, and weekend crawlers headed for the San Tan Mountains. If you own a new 6th-gen 4Runner TRD Pro or Trailhunter, Underdog Motorsports is a straight shot northwest up Ellsworth and Power Road, roughly 15 to 25 minutes to Power & Baseline in Mesa.
These trucks come from the factory with serious hardware already bolted on, so the job isn't a cheap lift — it's dialing in tires, gearing, armor and tuning the right way, with a real alignment on the rack every time.

4Runner TRD Pro & Trailhunter Builds for How Queen Creek Drives
Queen Creek is close enough to the San Tan Mountains Regional Park that a lot of these rigs see dirt the same weekend they're bought, and far enough out that they also cover real daily miles on Hunt Highway, Ocotillo and the 24 before they ever hit a trail. The new 6th-gen 4Runner is built for exactly that mix: an IFS coil-over front paired with a solid, coil-sprung multi-link rear, and the i-FORCE MAX hybrid drivetrain that adds real weight over the nose and tail. That added mass is the thing most owners feel first — a factory setup that rode great empty starts to squat and wallow once you load a fridge, a rooftop tent and a full tank of gas for a run out to the San Tans.
The two trims start from very different places, and we build them differently. The TRD Pro ships with FOX QS3 adjustable dampers, so the work there is usually tires and gearing, adding clicks of compression for a loaded truck, and armoring it for the rocks out toward the Gila and beyond. The Trailhunter is the one we especially like in the shop — it leaves the factory on Old Man Emu (ARB) position-sensitive suspension, and OME is one of our authorized lines. That means we can actually service, re-tune or step up a Trailhunter's suspension in-house instead of sending you somewhere else, matching the valving and spring rate to how heavy your Queen Creek build really sits. On either trim, fitting 34–35" tires means re-gearing so the hybrid drivetrain and transmission aren't fighting the taller rubber, and running upper control arms if we lift the IFS front at all to keep the geometry and alignment honest.
What We Install on Queen Creek 4Runners
Suspension & Tuning
FOX QS3 service and re-valving on the TRD Pro; in-house OME (Old Man Emu) tuning, service and step-ups on the Trailhunter. We set spring rate and damping for how your rig is actually loaded — not a one-size kit.
Wheels & Tires
34–35" tires on the right offset so they clear the hybrid 4Runner without rubbing, plus the re-gear to match. Load-rated rubber that handles I-10 heat and San Tan rock equally.
Armor & Bumpers
Rock sliders, skid plates and front/rear bumpers to protect the hybrid battery and drivetrain on ledges out at Woodbury and the Gila. Built for the rigs that actually leave the pavement.
Lighting
Ditch lights, bumper bars and bed/rear pods wired clean. We integrate with the Trailhunter's factory Rigid setup rather than fighting it, so everything switches like OEM.
Overland Setups
Roof racks, bed and cargo platforms, drawer and storage systems, and dual-battery/power wiring for the weekend-camping crowd running out of Queen Creek toward the San Tans and Four Peaks.
Alignment
Every suspension or tire job leaves on our alignment rack — included, not an upsell. It's how a loaded, geared 4Runner tracks straight and wears tires evenly on the daily Hunt Highway commute.
Queen Creek 4Runner TRD Pro & Trailhunter FAQ
How far is your shop from Queen Creek?
We're at 1845 S Power Rd in Mesa, near Power & Baseline — about 15 to 25 minutes from most of Queen Creek, straight northwest up Ellsworth and Power Road. An easy drive, and worth it to have it done once, done right.
Do I even need a lift on a TRD Pro or Trailhunter?
Usually not a traditional lift — these trucks already have great hardware and travel from the factory. The real work is tires, re-gearing, armor, lighting and tuning the suspension you already have for how your rig is loaded. We'll tell you honestly what will and won't help.
Can you service the Trailhunter's factory OME suspension?
Yes — Old Man Emu (ARB) is one of our authorized lines, so we can service, re-tune or step up the Trailhunter's position-sensitive suspension right here in Mesa instead of sending it out. That's a big reason Trailhunter owners come to us.
What size tires fit the new 4Runner?
Most Queen Creek builds land at 34–35". We fit them at the right offset to clear the hybrid 4Runner, and we re-gear so the i-FORCE MAX drivetrain and transmission aren't straining against the taller rubber.
Why does the i-FORCE MAX weight matter?
The hybrid system adds real weight front and rear, so a loaded Trailhunter or TRD Pro squats more than you'd expect. We set spring rate and damping for that actual weight — the difference between a truck that wallows and one that stays composed on dirt.
Do you do upper control arms and alignment?
If we lift the IFS front at all, we run upper control arms to correct the geometry, and every build leaves on our alignment rack — alignment is included on every install. No spacer lifts, ever.
