Toyota Tundra Lift Kit Installation in Apache Junction, AZ

Toyota Tundra Lift Kit Installation in Apache Junction, AZ

No town in the Valley lives closer to the dirt than Apache Junction. You're at the foot of the Superstitions with Tonto National Forest, Bulldog Canyon, Woodbury and the Hackberry/Peralta country all a short drive away — and a Tundra is exactly the kind of truck that earns its keep out there. Underdog Motorsports is a straight shot down the US-60 and Superstition corridor, about 15–20 minutes from AJ, and we build Tundras to handle that terrain right, not just look the part in the driveway.

Whether you're running a 2022+ third-gen with the coil rear or an older leaf-sprung Tundra, we dial the suspension to your engine, your tires and how far you actually push it past the pavement. Every install leaves with a proper alignment, and we never touch a spacer lift — ever.

Tundra Builds for How Apache Junction Drives

Apache Junction isn't a suburb that occasionally sees a trailhead — the trailhead is right there. The FR-78 gate into Bulldog Canyon is minutes off Usery Pass and the Bush Highway, Woodbury and the Superstition backcountry sit at the town's doorstep, and rock, sand wash and ledge are all part of a normal weekend. That mix is hard on a stock Tundra, and it's exactly why the suspension matters more here than almost anywhere else in the East Valley.

The third-gen Tundra (2022+) changed the game with an IFS coilover front and a coil-sprung rear, which gives us far better travel and ride quality to work with than the old leaf setup — but that new platform is also heavy, and the i-FORCE MAX hybrid adds even more weight over the axles. A TRD Pro rolls out of the factory on Fox 2.5s that are genuinely good, but owners who load up for the Superstitions or run bigger tires still outgrow them. We spec front coilovers and rear coils rated for the real weight of your truck — hybrid battery, bumper, rack, the works — so it doesn't sag or wallow when it's loaded. Push past roughly 2.5–3 inches of front lift and we add upper control arms to correct geometry and keep your alignment and CV angles happy. Running a 2014–2021 second-gen? That's a leaf-rear truck, and we tune it differently — the right shock and leaf-pack combination for a Tundra that still has to climb Woodbury and then drive you to work Monday.

What We Install

Suspension & Lift

Front coilovers and rear coils (or leaf tuning on 2014–2021 trucks) from ICON, FOX, Bilstein, OME and King — matched to your Tundra's weight and tire size, with UCAs on taller builds.

Wheels & Tires

Tundra-correct fitments in the 33–35 range, with backspacing and load ratings chosen for Superstition rock and Tonto sand — not just curb appeal.

Armor & Bumpers

Skid plates, sliders and steel or aluminum bumpers to protect the front end and rockers on Woodbury ledges and Bulldog Canyon washouts.

Lighting

Ditch lights, light bars and reverse pods wired clean for the miles of unlit Forest Service road east of town.

Overland Setups

Bed racks, rooftop tents, drawers and dual-battery builds for Tundra owners camping the Superstitions and Tonto backcountry.

Alignment

A full alignment is included on every lift and leveling install — because a heavy Tundra out of spec eats tires fast on Valley pavement.

Apache Junction Tundra FAQ

How far is the shop from Apache Junction?

About 15–20 minutes. From AJ you're a straight run west on the US-60 to Power Road, then north to our shop at 1845 S Power Rd in Mesa — genuinely close for a full off-road build.

What size lift is right for my Tundra?

Most owners land in the 2–3 inch range for a leveled, capable truck on 33s or 35s. It depends on your engine, weight and how hard you run the Superstitions — we'll spec it to your goals, not a one-size number.

Do I need upper control arms?

Past roughly 2.5–3 inches of front lift on the Tundra IFS, yes — UCAs restore correct geometry, protect your CV axles and let us hold a proper alignment. On smaller levels they're often not required.

Is the i-FORCE MAX hybrid different to lift?

It is — the hybrid system adds real weight, so we spec front coilovers and rear coils rated for that load instead of a generic kit that would sit low and ride harsh. Same care for TRD Pro trucks already on factory Fox.

Can you lift an older leaf-sprung Tundra?

Absolutely. The 2014–2021 second-gen uses a leaf rear, so we tune it with the right shock-and-leaf combination rather than the coil approach used on 2022+ trucks. Both come out riding right and aligned.

Will you help me set up for the Superstitions?

That's home turf for us. Bulldog Canyon, Woodbury, Hackberry — we build Tundras for that exact terrain every week and can spec tires, armor and gearing to match where you actually go.
