JEEP WRANGLER JK

The JK is the platform that built the modern Wrangler aftermarket — support is enormous. It's narrower than the JL that replaced it, so JL fenders, armor, and most suspension parts don't interchange.

Fitment

Rubicons came with Dana 44s front and rear plus factory lockers; Sport and Sahara run a Dana 30 up front. 2007–2011 JKs use the 3.8L and 2012+ the 3.6L Pentastar, which changes some cooling and accessory parts. Check whether you have a 2-door or 4-door Unlimited — the wheelbase decides which long-arm kits, skids, and sliders fit.

Before you buy

A 2.5–3" lift is the sweet spot for 35s; 37s want 3.5"+ of lift, fender trimming, and regearing to stay drivable. Like every coil-sprung Jeep, JKs are death-wobble prone, so a solid track bar, a good steering stabilizer, and an alignment are part of the build.
